Augsburg Park library closing for planned interior, exterior work

Augsburg Park Library will close for planned interior and exterior work beginning Sunday, July 14, and is expected to reopen in spring 2025.
The project will include:
- New carpet and paint throughout the building
- New furniture
- Interior modifications: Updates to restrooms and windows, additional study rooms and updated meeting room
- Exterior preservation: Updates to building infrastructure, stormwater management, and green space, and reconfiguration of parking lot
Holds pickup location
All library materials on hold with an Augsburg Park Library pickup location will automatically change to Southdale Library. To select a different pickup location, patrons can adjust their online account settings, connect with Ask Us online, call 612-543-KNOW (5669), or visit any Hennepin County library.
The Augsburg Park book return will also be closed during the project. Patrons can return library materials to any other Hennepin County library during this time. Nearby libraries include:
- Oxboro, 8801 Portland Ave. S., Bloomington
- Penn Lake, 8800 Penn Ave. S., Bloomington
- Southdale, 7001 York Ave. S., Edina
- Washburn, 5244 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis
